The 510th Fighter Squadron celebrated its 70th Birthday "Under the Wing" in the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton Ohio.

Well attended, Vietnam, Korea, the Cold War, Allied Force, Enduring Freedom " and highlighted by a Skype Call with Buzzard 01 and a semi formal evening in the Museum with the 8th Fighter Squadron.  Imagine, war hero's, weapons, maintenance and ops, from all eras eating dinner together, enjoying music from the Air Force Brass Band, and the opportunity to have Maj Gen (sel) Scott Zobrist provide his unique experience and why he believes "Buzzards Rule".   The Reaper and Global Hawk over head, the F 22 in plain sight and the B 52 dominating the floor.  The experience was incredible.

Listen to the Buzzard One Conference Call:

The business meeting on Saturday morning again was well attend and established officers for the coming years, and two awards for the Squadron in honor of a WWII fighter pilot and a Vietnam Weapons Loader.  The 2015 Reunion will again be in the Museum and hopefully will include modern day Buzzards from Ops and Maintenance.  The new By Laws and Constitution established the membership rules.  Any person in the 510th or the AMU supporting the 510th are eligible for membership as the Cornerstone of Combat Air Power is Combat Ready Jets!!
